Ramblers
The Ramblers and Ramblers Plus pursue the moderate hiking trips. Ramblers hikes (more moderate) are on Tuesdays and and Ramblers Plus hikes (slightly less moderate) are on Thursdays. The Tuesday hikes continue into winter, at lower elevations, using ice- or snow-grippers; the Thursday hikes switch to snowshoes when the snow flies..
Please read this document before attending a Ramblers event. Note that the document was written for the Sole Survivors but, except for the notes on cycling, it applies to all hiking trips.
Meet at the Apple Bowl (Burtch and Bernatd) at 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m departure. Those wishing to meet at the trailhead or a secondary meet spot should let the hike leader know in advance.
Full vaccination status is mandatory; please be ready to show your vaccination card on request to a leader. Waivers will have to be signed at the beginning of the excursions. Car pooling would be preferable within your own bubble but if you do car pool more widely, please wear masks (and always do so on request of the driver). Masks are not required outdoors but follow the usual distancing protocols. For the moment, we will not be having limits and preregistration requirements, but if at a future time we feel this is needed, we will reevaluate.
Car pooling is encouraged. The rate paid to the driver is shown on the Activities page.
We are always looking for leaders. Thanks for helping.
